Iron deficiency anemia
Hi my mother is having iron deficiency and her hb is 7.23 and iron stores are 13 only and I have also attached reports of CBC and iron profile and I have had physicians giving IV iron coz she is not compliant to oral tablets also her wt is 80 and as per I know the formula as a medical student for correcting iron her score for dose is 2.4 ×(target hb-actual hb )×weight +1000mg is 960+1000 mg so what dosage plan will be for her if iron sucrose is advised or any other form of IV iron? Like if say we can give two ampoules in a day so it will be roughly 400mg and can we give it for once per week for 4 weeks ? To replenish iron stores?
