He is under dialysis for last 8 year's ..since 3 months he hardly sleep max 1 hrs /night  and eats less .any solution for this..

Thank you for asking. I can understand your concern for him. These can be suggestive of Depression. It again very common in chronic medical problems like chronic kidney diseases. Hopelessness, not able sleep, reduced interest in pleasureable activities, poor appetite, irritability, crying spells, are very much indicators of depression. I would suggest you to consult him with a psychiatrist. As there must be other medical issues and medications that he must be on, one should take all these into consideration before planning a treatment for depression. A detailed account of associated risk factors, family support is required to plan a management.
