Two months of poor sleep with an overactive mind at night usually reflects a combination of stress or anxiety and disturbed sleep habits. In your case, since you are on thyroid medication, an under- or over-treated thyroid is an important and easily correctable cause, and low haemoglobin, vitamin D or B12 deficiency and perimenopausal hormonal change can also contribute.
Next Steps
Please get your thyroid profile rechecked along with a CBC, vitamin D and vitamin B12, and see a doctor in person for a proper sleep and mood assessment. Meanwhile follow sleep hygiene: a fixed sleeping and waking time, no daytime naps, no caffeine after midday, no screens for an hour before bed, a light early dinner, and some daily exercise but not late at night. If you lie awake for more than twenty minutes, get up and do something quiet until you feel sleepy.
Health Tips
Please do not start sleeping tablets on your own, as many are habit forming and should only be used briefly under supervision. Seek help sooner if you have persistent low mood, loss of interest, palpitations, weight change or any thoughts of self-harm. You are welcome to consult me on Practo online, or visit me at Synergy Multispeciality Hospital, Miraj.

If some situations causing anxiety or stress, solve it. Take tab alprazolam 0.25mg one every night just 30minutes before bed time for a week.  There should be no disturbance after taking tablet. Try sleeping at a fixed time daily, room should be quiet and dark. Avoid taking tea or coffee 3 hours prior to sleep time. Avoid heavy meals in evening.
