Indigestion and loose motion
My mother has gallbladder stone and was removed last January 2025 but after the surgery her stomach is very upset like  whatever she eats every time she goes to the toilet or sometimes if she eats she needs to go to the toilet multiple times. She is 57 so what could be the reason that her stomach is not responding properly and you know gallbladder is removed so this could be the reason. If you have any suggestions or ideas let me know. Thank you for your support

The symptoms sound like what we call ‘Bile Acid Diarrhoea’ (B A D). Do the following 1. Regular loperamide 2mg three times a day to slow the bowels 2. If not better with loperamide, then use Choltran sachets once a day (it contains Cholestyramine) 3. Bloods tests every six months- CBP, Liver function tests and Lipid profile All the best. When the Gall Bladder is removed there can be indigestion issues specially after eating food which contains high fats / oils / ghee. Gall bladder is a store house of Bile which aids in digestion of fatty food or non veg food
Next Steps
The person whose gall bladder is removed should be having less oily and greasy food stop nonveg completely and have small feeds at regular intervals. Having natural foods will help.
Health Tips
To keep the eating timings specific and not to change abruptly and have very light food every time. All this if doesn't help them can contact a Gastroenterologist.

Yes, gallbladder removal can be the main reason for her symptoms, and this is treatable. With proper diagnosis and medication, most patients improve significantly.
