Inability to open mouth and face.
I am having problem in opening my mouth and there is limited face movement.. any extra twist on my face makes it little tired.. i had a history of chewing beetlenut and panmasala.. stopped using it since last 3 month and the condition is improving . But still there are white patches inside my mouth.. i can whistle now but still can't stick out my tongue properly.. also there was a little swelling on my face making it look big but now it is not there.. the problem is inability to open mouth and stick out tongue normally.. didn't take any treatment yet.

please do go to an oral and maxillofacial surgeon as soon as possible. you might have oral submucous fibrosis which has to be taken seriously immediately. you might be recommended to start with some intralesional injections or might need to undergo surgery. Please do cooperate with whatever treatment your maxillofacial surgeon suggests you and undergo it as soon as possible.

It is oral submucous fibrosis. Systemic or intralesional injection of corticosteroids along with placental extract has to be administered. You can consult through this for prescription of medication and instructions on investigations .

The tissues are fibrosed. Visit a oral surgeon to assess the extent of fibrosis and initiate necessary treatment.

this condition is called oral submucous fibrosis where your buccal mucosa got fibrosed due to betel nut chewing.. plz visit a good oral surgeon.
