From how many days ur having this problem??? consultant with physiotherapist bcoz while doing particular movement ur getting pain,not throughout the day.so ibuprofen will not going to give relief in that particular movement.and moreover painkillers are not safe .
You should give hot water fomentation for 10-15 minutes twice a day. You can apply volini gel or spray provided you are not allergic.
Once the pain subsides you should do neck stretching and strengthening exercises with proper guidance.
If the pain continues for two days Visit nearest Physiotherapy clinic for complete assessment and treatment
