I have swelling in the knee & it pains.
I had a pain in the knee few days back, I used to walk regularly without paying much attention to the knee. Now the right most part of the knee has swollen a bit. Can you please advise me what to do?

At home.. Rest +ice pack+apply some painkiller gel +use knee cap +no long standing /walking +no stair climbing.

Hi greeting from Dr Amit first of all avoid activity which triggers pain apply ice for 15 min 2-3 time a day once u feel pain has reduce, resume your walking with proper cushioned shoes.

If pain persist then visit to a sports Physio, he will examine n guide u properly

Apply ice pack and do gradually. After walk do hot fermentation with rest time. Quadriceps exercises

Quadriceps Exercises- Lie straight, make a towel role and put it under the knee, press the keen against the role, hold it for 20 secs. Repeat 20 times twice a day. This will help relieve some pain. Core Strengthening Exercise- Straight Leg Raised With Toes Turned Outward, repeat 10 times, twice a day. Hams Stretching- lie straight, take the leg up, pull the feet towards yourself, with a elastic tube or normal belt. repeat 10 times, twice a day.

Hi.. I would suggest you to give you to kindly provide us additional information like which knee right or left... How severe the pain is... What releives and what increases the pain... Coming to your symptoms.. I would recommend you to kindly Ice your knee.. Keep it compressed with crepe bandage.. Dont do walking...keep your normal activities a bit low and take rest... You can have Anti inflammatory medications if you have one prescribed to you earlier... If still pain persists then kindly meet a orthopaedic or a pysio to know what has gone wrong...
