Thank you for sharing your concern. Acne scars and dark spots (called post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation) are common after breakouts, especially in oily and sensitive skin. With a consistent skincare routine, these marks can fade over time.
Next Steps
Morning: 1. Gentle foaming cleanser (salicylic acid 1% or tea tree-based) 2. Oil-free moisturizer (look for non-comedogenic label) 3. Sunscreen – SPF 30+ daily (very important to prevent marks from darkening) Night: 1. Cleanser 2. Apply niacinamide serum (5–10%) – helps fade dark spots 3. Moisturizer 4.Azelaic acid 10% Adapalene (mild retinoid) at night (if marks are stubborn) --- ⚠️ Avoid: Scrubbing or squeezing pimples Using fairness creams or strong homemade packs Skipping sunscreen --- Weekly Add-ons: 2×/week: Use a clay mask to control oil 1–2×/week: Use AHA/BHA exfoliant (like glycolic acid toner) – avoid if skin feels irritated
Health Tips
Try this routine for 4–6 weeks consistently If no improvement or acne worsens, consult a dermatologist Would you like me to suggest product names based on Indian availability or budget-friendly options?
