MD tablets dissolve in the mouth. So they are absorbed through the mucosa lining of the mouth. The action is much faster than the tablets which are swallowed.
If you swallow the tablets then you will lose the benefits of quick action. Of course the medicine will show its effects buy it will be delayed.

MD tablets are mainly antipsychotic tablets used in situations like anxiety , seizures.
What happens in seizure is that the voluntary controls are lost, the patients cannot swallow or chew.
At that moment , the mouth dissolving property of the tablets become helpful and used commonly.
If you swallow it with water, it’ll be okay.

These tablets can be absorbed into blood via mouth itself.
If you swallow also same mechanism will absorb the tablets.
When you keep inthe mouth ,it will dissolve spontaneously.
