Both anxiety and loneliness are different and the way you try to connect with happiness is what creating problem my friend . Many people who achieved the most are the people  who are alone and unique.
Next Steps
Being alone cannot create anxiety , thinking about it in a different way can cause anxiety. Being alone make people unique, try to change the perspective you look at the world. we need to see the problem from top to bottom.

Hi You can consult a psychologist and talk about what is making you feel anxious and lonely. You don’t have to think that you will be lonely forever. If you are upset about something you can talk about it with a psychologist. You will feel better after taking counseling sessions.

Hi... There is no ideal way to deal with life and live happily. We can only consciously make choices towards the life we want and positively anticipate something good. But still there will be disappointments as life is not designed to be perfect. Giving our life a purpose is always a good idea as it gives us necessary strength to move forward. Anxiety and Depression symptoms also occur in Thyroid problem for which you are already taking medicine (thyroxine) I suppose. It may be vice verse, i.e. your mental state may also be effecting your Thyroid problem.

Hello You can consult with a Psychologist. Just explain about that what kind of anxiety thoughts are disturbing you. Accordingly you can have some coping techniques how to overcome the issue. Get some social support constantly to avoid loneliness. Try to spend some time with your friends and family. Be positive and Be relax.
