How do I start?
I've some symptoms of depression, like unable to sleep at night, sleep a lot during day, loss of appetite, no motivation to work on goals, fear of future, getting lost in thoughts, imagining a world everything is fine, most of the time. It has been one year, and now I feel I should take help. I did some research, and some of my symptoms do resemble bipolar disorder. I have never discussed about my problems with anyone, and don't know how do I start. Because of this, im not able to move forward in life. I couldn't focus on  studies, and didn't sit for exams as a result. I feel I'm trying my life by not taking help.

I am able to understand what u must b going through. Many of the symptoms which u have mentioned is seen in people with depression and anxiety. Depression makes a person sensitive and irritable to things which they were able to tolerate before and lead to interpersonal problems. People try to improve their mood by  eating more, sleeping more etc, but with no effect. V need to evaluate whether depression is the reason behind ur problems. V would need to know few more details like ur sleep, hunger, energy levels, interest and the stress that is causing these difficulties to give appropriate suggestions. Depression reduces the concentration, motivation and interest in a person. Ur problems can easily be treated with counselling and if needed medications. Don't let ur problems affect ur personal or family life. U need to have a Psychiatrist evaluation. U can also consult me online directly through the practo chat option.
