Hi, in an ideal situation the socket from where the tooth is developed is filled with blood clot and later bone and covered completely by gums.. incase there is hole that means your socket has not healed and u are likely to develop an infection.
Next Steps
Kindly visit your dentist again. He would reassess your case and provide you with medication and also flush you socket again
