Majority of tympanic membrane perforations do not heal spontaneously. They must be closed by tympanoplasty. Perforated TM gives rise to recurrent ear discharge & deafness. If you want to get relief, you have to undergo surgery.

Tympanic membrane perforation which has not healed for 3 months is unlikely to heal in. Future. You should consider undergoing surgery known as tympanoplasty if your ear drum perforation persists
