It can swollen due to a tight dressing, in this case the dressing needs to be loosened, apply cold compress and the swelling will come down

Keep your head elevated while resting or sleeping (use 2 pillows). Apply cold compresses gently over the swollen area (10–15 minutes, 2–3 times a day) for the first 48 hours.
