Can a doctor intentionally spread hiv or hepatitis using tongue depressor??earlier I complained about proper sanitation of tongue depressor...in 2 nd visit he called me...and inspected my mouth using tongue depressor..can he intentionally  spread any virus or bacteria to take revenge?? Please suggest the needfull..I have a mouth ulcer..and

No doctor ever intentionally does so and more over the instrument used are sterilised after every use , you shouldn't worry so much about it and trust your doctor

These days single use wooden tongue depressor is used commonly. Suppose reusable tongue is used, doctors make sure it's sterile. Transmission through saliva alone is highly unlikely. HIV. HIV is extremely fragile and does not survive long outside the human body. Once exposed to the air and drying out on a surface, the virus quickly becomes non-infectious
