Hip Hair Line / Fracture
Hello Doctors,
Trust you are keeping yourself safe in this uncertain times.
Attaching the X-ray reports for my grandparents, he slipped and fall in his hip last night at his home, and have little swelling, by seeing the X-rays does it look like serious ?
Also he is 85 years old, in this case what would be the best treatment for him? Because of Covid we are thinking of waiting for some time before taking him to hospital.
Please suggest the way forward.

Patient seems to be having fracture neck of femur.
It needs surgery.
He must be made ambulance as soon as possible.

The X-ray is not very clear. There appears to be some shortening- due to neck of femur fracture.
Next Steps
Needs immediate medical care with skeletal/skin traction and surgery. Get him to an orthopedic surgeon as soon as possible.

Surgeries Bipolar hemiartroplasty (Partial replacement) or Total Hip replacement is the best choice for. Him.

its not a hair line fracture intracspsular neck of femur fracture....need surgery Asap..modular hip prosthesis needed after physician workup..dont delay the surgery..surgeries can be done in a non covid facility..
