High TSH in recent tests
My uncle has been identified with high value[13.01] of TSH in recent test. Wanted to check about the best ways for treating it and details on possible implications for such high readings. Thanks in advance.

TSH level of 13.01 is hypothyroidism.you can upload the free T4 and T3 results.As he is an elderly person , thyroxin replacement should be started at a lower dose and adjusted accordingly testing his TSH level every 4 to 6 weeks till you see the desired levels for age 70 of TSH between 4to 6 miu/l.

have past history of hypothyroidism? recently new diagnosis ? kindly consultations with physicians , need some work up and start medicine for hypothyroidism.
