High Pdw, rdw and low Pct. high bilirubi
Hi, I'm very tense as my report is showing high PDW, RDW and low PCT and also high bilirubin. Please see the report and tell me whether it is very serious or what. I had kidney stone problem and most of stones expelled through urine, only one small one left. I'm having gastric issues. 3 months earlier I was having too much gastric problem but after taking rabeprozole for 45 days, symptoms decreased very much. Please see the report and answer me. KFT and iron report are normal.

This is a small price we have to pay for being taken for a ride by Multinational Laboratories. They will offer you 64 tests for Rs 699 or 84 tests for Rs 899. How do they do it ? By doing CALCULATIONS. They will measure 10 parameters and then sit down to calculate some ratios. and convert the 10 parameters into 28 parameters. That's when your MCV and MCH and MCHC and RDW and PDW come. Most of them have no relevance in patient management in 99% of the cases.
