Conservative care will help as there are no symptoms of instability. Instability symptoms can also occur due to the muscle weakness that has evolved since 4 months of under use and rest of that leg.
Next Steps
identify and stop activities that are stressful to the muscles, challenge yourself regularly for strengthening but in tolerable doses, functional training
Health Tips
we can do a teleconsultation if you want

Looking at your symptoms You have partial instability of knee on exertion. There are two choices in front of you . 1. If you do not have high physical demands like sports activity and running jumping gym etc then you can give a non surgical approach a trial by physiotherapy. 2. if you do like physical activities then you ll need to go for surgical procedure. Your knee needs to have normal ACL for activity . So my suggestion to you is your young n if u have a moderate to high physical demand lifestyle then get surgery done .
Next Steps
Hope it helps you come to a decision

Hello sir, It’s a partial tear, so I expect it to respond well to conservative management, physiotherapist and rehabilitation. Just focus on quadriceps and hamstring strengthening exercises. They are simple and can be done at the comfort of your own home. With that I expect your pain free walking distance to improve and your overall result to improve.
Health Tips
Avoid running, skipping and other impact activities
