Partial ligament tear
I had a partial ligament tear in march and the doctor i consulted suggested fiber plastic for 4 weeks and i had put for 3 weeks. Now i am able to walk and drive car and bike perfectly but still i have little bit of pain when i stand for long time and walk for long time. Can anyone suggest if i need to consult a doctor and what all precautions i have to take

This treatment is being suggested on bases of the information provided. However I would like to examine & investigate you  in detail. -Control  Hypertension, Diabetes or  metabolic disorder, if there is any. -Any way it may be tried, --. Dolokind Plus (Mankind) [Aceclofenac100 mg +Paracetamol 350 mg] 1 tab. OD & SOS. X 5 days. --. Caldikind plus  (Mankind) 1 tab OD x 10 days. -(You may need help of your local doctor to get these medicines.) --. Fomentation with warm water. Let the part not be exposed to cold. --. Sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding. --. Keep a pillow under the head. --. Now just do physiotherapy to strengthen the muscles Avoid squatting and sitting cross legged for 2 to 3 weeks more You will be fine

For partial tear if it is painful after a few months then platelet rich plasma injections are of immense help which help in regeneration and healing. Unhealed ligament injury may cause OA of knee in later life.
