ESR is just above normal level and not problematic as it's 22. My main concern is why you go through these lab tests if there are some symptoms than consult

Need complete reports to know better about your condition. However this much increase in ESR may be due to recent infection or inflammation. It’s a non specific marker.

No problem, iys slightly high due to previous infection or mild inflammation. If other parameters like crp,cbc is normal then no worry.

It is a non specific test. Simply get it repeated in a few weeks for your reassurance. All the best. www.jgsr-health-education.in

Esr is marginally high,  it only indicates some ongoing inflammation  or health issue since sometime. If other parameters is o.k., there is nothing to worry.

An ESR of 22 mm/hr in a 37-year-old male is only mildly elevated. Since: • CBC is normal • CRP is normal • No mention of symptoms This makes a serious inflammatory or infectious condition unlikely. Important understanding: • CRP reflects acute, active inflammation • ESR is slower, less specific, and influenced by many non-disease factors Mild ESR elevation (20–25 range) can occur due to: • Minor recent infection (even weeks ago) • Mild dehydration • Obesity • Stress • Smoking • Slight anemia • Lab variation When CRP is normal, isolated ESR elevation is usually of low clinical significance, especially without symptoms.
Next Steps
✔ No immediate treatment required ✔ Repeat ESR after 4–6 weeks if concerned ✔ Ensure good hydration before next test ✔ Check hemoglobin level (even mild anemia can raise ESR) ✔ Assess if you had any recent infection You should seek evaluation only if you have: • Persistent fever • Joint pain/swelling • Unexplained weight loss • Chronic fatigue • Night sweats Without symptoms, this ESR level does not indicate a dangerous condition.
Health Tips
✔ Maintain regular exercise ✔ Balanced anti-inflammatory diet ✔ Adequate sleep ✔ Avoid unnecessary repeated testing ✔ Stop smoking (if applicable) An isolated ESR of 22 with normal CRP is usually benign and often normalizes on its own. If you share: • Your weight • Any recent infections • Exact hemoglobin value I can interpret this more precisely in your clinical context. Booking an online consultation would allow structured evaluation and prevent unnecessary anxiety or investigations.

ESR of 22 is only mildly raised. If CBC and CRP are normal and you have no symptoms, it is usually not significant. ESR can be slightly high due to: • Mild past infection • Stress • Minor inflammation • Lab variation ESR alone is not a strong marker. CRP is more reliable for active inflammation. If you feel completely fine, you can repeat ESR after 3–4 weeks. If you have symptoms like fever, weight loss, joint pain, then further evaluation is needed. Based on your symptoms, this may require proper clinical assessment and prescription. You may book an online consultation with me for detailed evaluation and personalised treatment plan.

Hello sir, As I can see you only provided the lab values without any symptoms, I feel you are totally fine otherwise. And guess that you have done this only for checking the routine blood work. The value ESR 22 is complete within normal range sir until unless you are experiencing any other symptom.
Next Steps
No need to worry if no symptoms present. If there is any, feel free to book a consultation. I will be happy to help.

Thank you. Have a good day.

ESR is not within normal range but there is not need to be worried. As it’s on the margin , something body is going under the process of prevention from diseases and inflammation and hence the ESR increases. Since the corresponding values are normal , nothing to be done for now.
Next Steps
Relax for now .

Check for fever /soar throat / running nose or any other viral infections

Dear Patient, • ESR is a nonspecific marker • It can rise due to minor infection, stress, obesity, smoking, or even lab variation • Normal CRP suggests no active significant inflammation For detailed interpretation based on your full report and symptoms, kindly text me over Practo for proper consultation and guidance.
