Heavy and prolonged menstrual
My wife (31 years old) is having irregular and heavy menstrual bleeding. Her periods started before the due date and continued for around 10–12 days with very heavy flow, even staining clothes. A local doctor said there was some swelling and infection in the uterus or urinary area and gave medicines, which stopped the bleeding for a few days. But after completing the medicine, the bleeding started again. She also feels severe pain during intercourse. She had a childbirth surgery around two years ago. Please suggest the possible reason and further treatment or tests.

Heavy bleeding, severe period cramps, pain during intercourse could be due to conditions like Endometriosis or pelvic infection. She will need a detailed examination.
