Hi mam, there is usually no direct relation between tooth extraction and headache. it might be because of various other reasons like 1) Dehydration ( one of the most common causes during summer for kids) 2) any eye issues - as they are kids they might not be able to understand if they have difficulty reading etc. - better to get an eye checkup done 3) might be because of some stress and anxiety that he might have felt during extraction. 4) rare but some infection in the extraction site and the pain can be referred. better check it with the dentist to rule it out.
Next Steps
kindly if the issue persist even after drinking lots of water to rule out dehydration then show to a physician or an ophthalmologist.
Health Tips
During summers give lot of liquids to kids. Dehydration is very common in kids.

Hello, Headache after tooth extraction is usually not directly related to the procedure, but it can happen due to factors like: • Stress or anxiety from the treatment. • Long duration of mouth opening during extraction. • Skipping meals, dehydration, or general fatigue. • In some cases, pain from the extraction site may radiate to the head (especially if it was an upper tooth). This should usually settle with rest, hydration, and mild painkillers (only after confirming no drug allergies). However, if the headache is severe or doesn’t improve, I advise you to visit your dentist or physician for a check-up. Also, since a tooth has been removed, I strongly recommend placing a space maintainer if needed. In children, early loss of teeth without space maintenance can lead to malocclusion, crowding, and bite problems in the future. So timely intervention is important to avoid bigger issues later.
