Do not start any medicine . If you feel such things then go for precautions for thyroid like avoid peanuts , crucifers like cabbages etc . Start doing exercises n walk yoga . You will certainly loose some weight n feel active . Hair loss can be due to other causes too . Consult personally for proper guidance

Hello, there could be many reasons for weight gain as well as hair loss. It need not be a deficiency of thyroid always. If the tests have come normal, then just for your satisfaction you can get it done again. Also get other parameters checked, to know if your weight gain is because of any other hormone disfunction. There is no need to take any thyroid medication if one has not been detected with hypothyroidism. Self medication could be very harm full. If your thyroid levels are in the normal range, then taking external dosage could lead to adverse effect like, increased heart beats, excess sweating, tremendous mood swings, tremors, in critical cases could also lead to development of seizures.

Hi, I understand your concern but all these symptoms doesn't mean you have thyroid. You could be having some other deficiency or perhaps your lifestyle & food isn't right as you think. Instead of having medicines unecesarily I would recommend you to visit a qualified Nutritionist/ Dietitian to understand your health and where things are going wrong. Regards, Aditi
