That will surely require an xray to diagnose the condition. Either a root canal treatment or extraction would be done. Filling if the cavity is not too deep. Dont wait for it to flare up, get it done asap. For the time being, take over the counter painkillers if you have access, or use any sensitivity tooth paste, that might help
