Experiencing hairfall and period problems indicates some deficiencies in your body. With iron percentage saturation low you need to take medication otherwise the problem will worsen with time

Hi there 👋 Your description clearly points toward iron deficiency as the main cause behind both your hair fall and menstrual changes. Let me explain — A % iron saturation of only 9% is significantly low (normal is above 20%). Even if your ferritin or hemoglobin are within lower-normal range, this low saturation means your body’s iron stores are depleted, and hair follicles aren’t getting enough oxygen and nutrition. This results in diffuse hair shedding (telogen effluvium) and may also cause brown/light menstrual bleeding, fatigue, or brittle nails. 🩸 What you should do next: 1. Confirm the deficiency pattern: Get these blood tests (morning fasting sample): Serum Ferritin Serum Iron + TIBC (you’ve done already) CBC (Hemoglobin, MCV, MCH) Serum Vitamin B12 and Vitamin D3 — deficiencies in these can worsen hair fall. 2. Start replenishment (after tests if not done recently): Tab. Ferrous Ascorbate 100 mg elemental iron + Folic Acid 500 mcg – 1 tablet after meals once daily for at least 3 months. Take it with vitamin C (a glass of orange juice) for better absorption. Avoid tea/coffee/milk for 1 hour before and after taking it. 3. Nutritional and supportive care: Add a protein-rich diet (eggs, dals, paneer, nuts). Iron sources: green leafy veggies, beetroot, dates, jaggery, lean meats if non-veg. Continue a multivitamin containing biotin + zinc (not as a primary fix, but supportive). If you have ongoing brown or irregular bleeding, a gynecology review is essential — causes like hormonal imbalance or PCOS can co-exist and worsen deficiency. 4. Timeline for improvement: Hair growth takes time — expect visible change only after 6–8 weeks of continuous therapy. Early stopping reverses progress. Summary: Your hair fall is almost certainly linked to low iron stores (9% saturation confirms it). Treating this deficiency and checking menstrual cause will resolve it in most cases. If you’d like a detailed review of your reports, prescription, and a personalized supplement plan (iron + hormonal + nutritional), you can message me directly on WhatsApp at nine three two six zero two zero five three six. I’ll go through your reports and design a treatment plan tailored specifically to your body profile and menstrual pattern.
