Hair fall for a few days
I was diagnosed with dengue during the month of July. I spent a week in the hospital (10.07.16 to 16.07.16). Now i have recovered from it. But for a few days , i am experiencing hair loss. It is not too severe , but some amount of hair is falling off everyday. I have some mental issues also , for which my psychiatrist has prescribed me Flunil 40mg , Risdone MT 0.5 . Also , before my discharge from the hospital , my doctor performed USG , where it showed I have Grade one Fatty liver. Then my gastroenterologist prescribed me Evion 400 , and Zincovit . Again when I told my psychiatrist about hair loss , he prescribed me Becosules Z tablet. Now , is it ok to take three vitamin tablets at the same time?. Also I want to know, whether my hair loss is the after-effect of dengue?

Thanks for the query. One month of hair fall usually relates to an acute cause or sometimes the beginning of a chronic cause. Did you have an illness in preceding few months like a typhoid, malaria or did you undergo a surgery? Are there any acute stressors, any unusual problems? If there are so, you may be having a condition called telogen effluvium, and usually settles in few months time even without any treatment. You should have a healthy diet and good sleep.
