Hello, Pain and swelling are normal when your wisdom tooth are errupting. However, an X-Ray of the concerned tooth with a consultancy could help in identifying if there’s an infection underneath. Until then warm saltwater gargle should help in easing the discomfort slightly.

Pain may be due to impacted wisdom tooth. Take antibiotics and analgesics, get the overlying flap of tooth removed or get tooth removed, depending on the space to erupt the tooth. Application of ointment will relieve pain only temporarily. You can apply ointment as per consultation.
