Gum and mouth bleeding
My boyfriend has a problem in his mouth. His front teeth on the bottom, the gums right by his teeth bleed a lot. When he’s brushing and when he’s not brushing. He said they are a little loose. He’s 20 and he hasn’t been to the dentist Ina while because of personal problems. Please help me !!

The bleeding gums is usually due to inflammation in gums (known as pyorrhea in layman language) which is technically called gingivitis. This inflammation usually occurs because of plaque deposition, which is due to inadequate and inefficient brushing. When this reaches the supporting bone , it leads to mobility in teeth & this condition is called periodontitis.

What next is a generalized cleaning of teeth (technically called scaling/oral prophylaxis). A proper gum treatment along with some medication & local application gel & mouthwash is the complete solution.

The gums are inflamed and unhealthy due to deposits. Seeing the age factor the changes or gum disease may be reversible. A thorough ultrasonic scaling is all that is needed at times. Kindly don't ignore the problem and visit a dentist asap, before the problem becomes irreversible
