Hi,
I have been having cold since last 12 days. I was having white mucus for a week and it has turned green since last 4 days. I am in UK and I am not getting doctor appointment for next two weeks. Could you please suggest if I can take cefuroxime antibiotic. It was recommended by my GP in India when I travelled here 5 months back for emergency purpose. Thanks in advance.

I understand your plight. But if you don't have sufficient number of tablets don't start cefuroxime... You will need to use it for atleast a week's time.. if you don't have that quantity of tablets than I recommended meeting a GP there and getting it prescribed from them.
Hi there
Cold for 12 days is too long, any evidence of fever ? Then we may have to look at an infection.
If fever persisting, then we may have to start an antibiotic, needs some other imaging and blood work to guide appropriate treatment.
Kindly consult for further assistance
If you have mucus in copious amounts and any sign of infection such as fever raise crp or ESR you can take it
If you are having cold and cough since from 12 days how can you are not taking any treatment
