Gradual decrease of hearing

Asked for Female, 67 Years

Hi Doc. My mom is around 67+ aged and has hearing problem from couple of years. On general check up 1 doc. said the hearing goes low as the age increases.he said 1 side is 90% weak in hearing and other is 60%. Can the hearing capacity can be recovered or not ?? And the lowering of hearing due to increase of age is true or not ? Regards

Hi From the symptoms you mentioned it seems you are having age related hearing loss . The auditory nerve gets weakened in this condition.the treatment for this is digital hearing aids.
