Bilateral profound hearing loss hypoxia
Sir, my daughter birth is normal but she had a cord around her neck and not started crying for 30minutes. Doctor suggested to undergo hearing test. Later we came to know that she suffered hypoxia and had outer hair cell damage in cochlea. We had done Mri and temporal bone all the reports are normal but her ABR test shows the OHC is not functioning well.
Doctor suggested only cochlear implant as she had bilateral profound hearing loss where a wave is shown at 100db only.
Can any ayurveda or homeopathy help us with regeneration of her damaged outer hair cells or we had no option.
Kindly help us am trying with any of the ayurveda or homepathy from past 3years and had no visible results. I only need realistic options as my baby is still mute and am worried about her future.
My baby age is 3.5 years as of now she had no other problems and no autism. Very playful girl and will learn anything which she watch.

It is very important to act on this condition early because early detection and treatment for reduced hearing in children, can help them develop the milestones as per their age. As per the reports mentioned by you, the profound sensorineural hearing loss was identified on BERA testing which is important in children upto 4 years. In such a situation however medications won't be able to regenerate outer hair cells rather a surgical intervention would be needed especially if she is having any kind of difficulty in following voices.

A pediatric neurologist consult needs to be done for IQ and behavioural testing in order to identify if your daughter is a candidate for cochlear implant.
If your BERA test, MRI and HRCT are more than 1-1.5 years old then the cochlear implant surgeon might ask you to repeat it. However get an opinion from a certified surgeon before repeating any investigations.

According to the case you have presented, your child is having profound hearing loss since birth, she needs a cochlear implant surgery. Since, she's not hearing anything she hasn't learned speech yet, hence the mutism. According to the BERA report you have said, she will not be benefitting from hearing aid as well, hence the surgery.
