Grade III Tear in Posterior horn
I have been. Diagnosed with Grade III tear in Posterior horn of lateral Menuscus by MRI Imaging. I have been having pain in my right knee from last 2 months,no knee locking problem is there, I am able to walk and to my work but pain is always there but whenever I fold my legs for few minutes also and then straighten it, I feel the pain much more severely Kindly Advise me what should I do in my case.

Hello, Where is Dr Rajiv Munde shoulder and knee surgeon. If you are suffering from the great 3 poster iot on meniscus tear better you consult me or other sports injuries surgeon for final openion OFF treatment. This can be managed without surgery or with surgery. If it is significantly displaced then you need to repair it  with Surgery if it is not displaced then with the brace and some rest he will be alright.

Start with knee strengtheing exercises , anti inflammatory medicines , physiotharepy . Give it 3-4 weeks .

Grade 3 meniscus tears require arthroscopic meniscectomy/ repair depending on the type of tear and reparability.
