Grade 3 LCL tear and marrow edema
I was diagnosed with grade 3 LCL tear and marrow edema.. I have pain my knees and swellings on the backside of knee.. my reports attached.. do I require a surgery??

From the report it looks like it's an acute injury..I would wait and apply ice packs..till the knee joint has become quiet with the swelling reduced..once the swelling and pain has reduced with the cold pack and immobilization..needs to be clinically reassessed for stability..if there is laxity at that time (usually 3 to 4 weeks) then to consider surgery.

It has to be immobilised first and revaluated at the end of 3 weeks to see if still there is laxity of the knee
