Got ulsers after having metal braces.
Two days back i got metal braces.First day there was not much pain.Next day onwards my lips and checks are swallowed.And I got ulcers as well,These ulcers are paining like anything..is it common after having braces or something wrong with my braces..

Hi ... it is normal .. once your oral tissues get adapted to the rubbing nature of the metal braces, a scar will be formed. So after that u will not feel any poking or pricking sensation. If it is too uncomfortable... buy orthodontic relief wax and place it wherever and whenever there is a discomfort/ulcer/pain

Hie,
At the initial days of braces, pain occurs due to the forces exerted by the braces...don’t worry, u can take painkiller for that..
ulcers are very common after ortho braces...
for that:
1.apply dolo gel CT thrice a day
2. Put ortho wax provided by your orthodontist on the brackets which is impinging your cheek. So that it won’t hurt anymore

Warm saline rinses 2-3 times a day

Hi .. Ulcers can develop due to the rub caused by braces in the mouth.The mouth is very sensitive and it can take a few days to adjust after having your braces fitted. It is common for the brackets or wires to rub against the cheeks, lips or tongue causing sore spots or ulcers.Mouth ulcers caused by braces generally heal within a week or two.
Apply Dologel-CT Gel 2-3 times a day for 1 week for pain relief.

Hie .. initially braces cause pain..if u have ulcers then consult your dentist he will evaluate the condition...
Till then u can apply mucopain over it
