When I am seeing your post I am seeing in heading somewhere that your sister is undergoing treatment for mucormycosis (black fungus). This is a much more severe problem than anything which will be caused by chlorhexidiene mouthwash. Please use it regularly twice a day to maintain oral hygiene along with warm saline rinses.

Greetings, thanks for your question. I understand your concern about oral health. Firstly, you can use luke salt water gargles daily without any trouble. Secondly, using mouthwash daily that has chlorhexidine in it may stain your teeth in a long run . And you may experience dry mouth. Mouthwashes are also like medication. It should be used with dentist's prescription only. There are many other oil based mouthwashes available in the market for regular use. Apart from these 2 things , you can brush twice daily and floss your teeth atleast twice a week. Even after following all oral health methods anyone can have oro-dental problems. So most importantly, you should visit a dental clinic for a regular checkup. I hope this will help. If you have any questions or you need any advice regarding oral health then you can consult me on practo. All your queries will be solved. Stay safe. Regards: Dr Akash Bhagat The Dentist's Office

Mouth wash maximum twice per week, once in every 3 days, before bed time, after food, 10 mins before brushing teeth with paste(mandatory to avoid stains from long term use of any mouthwash).
