My mother has type 2 diabetes, so I'm the risk of gestational diabetes incase of pregnancy,is there a way that I can prevent it??? Or definitely I will get gestational diabetes due to FAMILY history

It is not necessary that if your mother is having type 2 diabetes then you will develop gestational diabetes.But you have to give more attention.Regular blood sugar and HBA1c check is necessary
Daily walk, light physical exercise is helpful
Try some Yoga and meditation because it reduces anxiety.Anxiety increase blood sugar level due to hormonal changes.
In diet Take fiber rich diet
Low carbohydrate diet.
Take protein, iron, calsium rich diet.
Avoid refined carbohydrates,cold drinks.
Instead of juices take fresh fruits.
Remain active throughout pregnancy.

It's not sure ull get gestational diabetes due to family history. You might or might not.
It's all depend on your pre- conception hba1 c levels and then in pregnancy your diet matters the most.
It's detected by ogtt test.
U can prevent it just by diet control.
