I feel exhausted and tired everytime even after full sleep and I feel losing interest in everything. I frequently find myself overthinking and panicking over small situations. I have started avoiding people and running away from situations. I'm not able to focus on anything and always feel like just laying on the bed. I don't find motivation anywhere. Basically I'm not able to stay active and pursue things I want to do .

Hi, exhaustion, low mood and anxiety like this can sometimes stem from things like low thyroid, vitamin levels or anaemia.
Simple blood tests can help rule those out. Many feel better once we check and support the basics.

Physician’s Opinion
A 19-year-old female who reports:
* Persistent tiredness and exhaustion despite adequate sleep
* Loss of interest in previously enjoyable activities
* Difficulty concentrating and focusing
* Overthinking and excessive worry
* Panic over minor situations
* Social withdrawal and avoidance
* Low motivation and reduced activity
is experiencing symptoms that may be due to a combination of mental health and physical health factors. These symptoms should not be dismissed as “laziness” or a lack of willpower.
Possible causes
1. Depression (Major Depressive Disorder)
The symptoms of:
* Loss of interest (anhedonia)
* Fatigue
* Poor concentration
* Social withdrawal
* Lack of motivation
are commonly seen in depression.
2. Anxiety Disorder
The frequent overthinking, panic, and avoidance of situations suggest significant anxiety, which can also cause:
* Mental exhaustion
* Difficulty concentrating
* Physical fatigue
3. Medical conditions that can mimic depression/anxiety
As a physician, I would also want to rule out:
* Iron deficiency anemia
* Vitamin B12 deficiency
* Vitamin D deficiency
* Thyroid disorders (especially hypothyroidism)
* Chronic infections
* Sleep disorders
Recommended evaluation
I would advise a consultation with a physician and possibly a mental health professional. Basic investigations may include:
* CBC (Complete Blood Count)
* Serum Ferritin/Iron studies
* Vitamin B12 level
* Vitamin D level
* Thyroid profile (TSH, Free T4)
* Blood glucose
What can help meanwhile?
* Maintain a regular sleep schedule.
* Engage in light physical activity such as a 20–30 minute walk daily, even if motivation is low.
* Avoid excessive isolation.
* Limit caffeine and excessive screen time, especially late at night.
* Continue routine activities in small, manageable steps rather than waiting for motivation to return.
An important question
Have these symptoms been present for more than 2 weeks, and have you experienced:
* Feelings of hopelessness?
* Persistent sadness?
* Thoughts that life is not worth living or thoughts of self-harm?
If the answer to the last question is yes, it is important to seek professional mental health support promptly. If there are any current thoughts of self-harm or suicide, urgent evaluation by a mental health professional or emergency service is warranted.
Based on the information provided, depression with significant anxiety features is a strong possibility, but medical causes should also be excluded before attributing everything to a psychiatric condition.
