This MAY cause a painful condition called dry socket after 3-4 days But if pain doesn't develop, continue with the given instructions
Next Steps
1. get it checked weather the blood clot in the socket is secured or not 2. keep oral cavity clean (gentle brush avoiding the extraction area) 3. no vigorous spitting or gargling for few days 4. if pain develops visit dentist
Health Tips
avoid hot and spicy food semi solid food is advisable

Ideally you were supposed to avoid spitting, gargling for atleast 24 hours after the procedure . But as you mentioned that by mistake you have gargled, it's ok if you don't have any discomfort or pain . But keep a check on it, if any kind of discomfort arises, do visit the dentist for a checkup.

Hi i am sure that you would have been given instructions post extraction not to spit for 24 to 48 hrs. If you gargled vigorously it must have dislodged the clot. If you are not having any pain or bleeding then you should be okay. Kindly visit a dentist and get checked.
Next Steps
Take your medications. Do not gargle vigorously or spit forcefully. Do not brush that region until healing takes place as you might accidentally injure the socket. Avoid hot spicy and hard food. Do not fiddle that region with your tongue or finger.
