I have gained 10 kg in last 6 months and got my thyroid profile done. Tsh levels were 10. Trying hard to loose weight what can be done?

Hello, most hormonal imbalances interrupts with fat metabolism thereby resulting in weight gain. Medication definitely will help you but at the same time nourishing yourself with the right nutrients is very important to regulate hormonal imbalances. Please cut down refined foods like biscuits, breads, cakes etc and include a lot of whole cereals fruits and vegetables.

1. begin with 30-45 mins of exercise regimen 2. ensure you are eating real foods 3. cut down all junk and processed foods.

Hi, Yes thyroid do increases weight if the TSH levels are not in control. You need to show to your Dr. and should start with the medicine ASAP. And don't worry TSH levels at 10 are that alarming, you will be fine. As far as is weight loss is concerned as soon as you start will your medicine and if you agree to be on proper diet you will be able to lose weight.
