Tinea cruris or ringworm in groin, needs to be treated completely, otherwise it recurs as in your case. Sometimes it heals, but leaves hyperpigmentation, which you may feel that the infection is persistent, but it is not so. There can be many reasons for it coming back like incomplete treatment, family members affected, not maintaining hygiene or excessive sweating. All these factors need to be ruled out. Also, whether it is ringworm or not, can be judged on seeing your pictures. You can consult online for further appropriate diagnosis and treatment.
