I was treated for fordyce spots on my penile shaft, i was adviced to use elocon cream, but the problem seems to be persistent, its goes away and keeps coming back. the skin becomes scaly and reddish with slight sensitivity. there is no discharge or pain. please advice. thanks

Thanks for the query. Forsyce spots are the ectopic sebaceous glands on penile shaft. These are asymptomatic and generally do not need any treatment until they are large enough or causing any discomfort.They can be treated by electrocautery or radiofrequency ablation but recurrence might be common.Scaly and reddish skin might be due to Elocon cream so please stop that topical medication and consult any dermatologist.
