Flu vaccine India ke routine government immunisation programme mein adults ke liye include nahi hai, so it stays a private, out-of-pocket shot. Practically the quadrivalent brands (Influvac Tetra, Vaxigrip Tetra, Fluarix Tetra) are what you get at any clinic or chemist with cold chain; Flexivec-N type names come and go, so just ask for whichever quadrivalent is in stock. One dose every year, ideally before monsoon or by early winter, and it matters most for age 50+, diabetics, asthma/COPD, heart or kidney disease, and pregnancy. For lower-income groups, municipal urban health centres, ESI and charitable/mission hospitals often do vaccination camps at much lower cost, so enquire at your nearest civil/UPHC first.
