Flat back head
Hi doctor, My son back head is not in round shape .. It looks little flat back head. He s 8 and half month old. Am very much worried about it.pls advice.

That’s normal . As the child lies most of the time , his head takes a flat shape. It will mould itself and become normal before the bones fuse.

Since babies are sleeping in lying down position for a long time head become flat but over the time when he is mostly moving around shape becomes normal, not to worry

Usually becomes natural shaped by one year age. If it still remains grossly abnormal by then,consult your paediatrician

nothing to worry about it. the head gets moulded over the time and usually by the age of 2 years it becomes normal  so don't get worried and be rest assured.

How is his development ? If his development is normal don’t worry about the flat back head. Turn him to one side when he sleeps.
