Iam 31 years old /male. I have got my mri fistulogram report which states there" is intersphincteric abscess mid anal 5-7'0 clock position of 10mm thick, in low
Anal 5-11'0 clock extending in perianal region. It measures 29*15*22cm(ap*trans *height). Significant right edema noted. Internal opening not defined".
Is this fistula or just abscess as there is no internal opening?

Mostly it is an Abscess with a Tract lying in the inter-sphincteric groove with extension in the SC plane and needs Surgical intervention asap esp. for the Abscess and thorough curettage as of now!
