If you have to remove stool with your hand it means the constipation is very severe. You can take syrup lactulose15ml once a day with plenty of water. Eat a fibre rich diet - include cucumber, fruits, vegetables. Drink atleast 2-3 litres of water daily. Walk for atleast 20 mins daily.
Next Steps
If there is no relief, you may need to use an enema or glycerin suppository
Health Tips
If the constipation is accompanied by pain or bleeding or any part coming out of anus you should see a surgeon. It could be piles or fissure intestinal or metabolic causes .Thorough checkup is needed.

Use of excessive  finger you have to lean a lot. So pain is natural. Why Don't you try to correct  constipation? Duphalac syr10 ml at night. Use of isabgol husk two teaspoon two times a day for 3 weeks  non additive.  It grease your intestinal  mucosa so stool pass easily. Use of plenty of water n liquid,  salad fibers  r very useful. One thing  u wrote  for years you had fever????? Which kind of fever it was?
