no it is not...u get herpes infection when ur immune system is weaker..and in HIV immunity is compromised..but it is not necessary that if u get herpes means u have HIV..herpes can infect anyone with lower immunity
no such relation with HIV
It is just on example where chances of getting herpes are high

Herpes zoster is a viral infection. It may express whenever the immunity is low. Causes of low immunity can be several including poor lifestyle and eating habits, lack of exercise etc. HIV is not the only cause of poor immunity. So herpes is not a first symptom of HIV. If you are worried get yourself tested. Also improve your eating, sleeping and exercise routine.

There is a cause to worry only when you have had unprotected sex with different unknown partners. Varicella zoster which present with herpes eruptions on back and neck is not completely sexually transmitted disease. For precaution just get HIV test done.

In some studies it is found that herpes zoster can be a symptom of HIV but not in every case.... As herpes is also due to an infection and hiv too from infection but if the symptoms are resolved then no need to worry but always be aware because HIV not only due to sex exposure but also due to infected needles, infected blood or due to many other reasons so always be precautious....
Or if the symptoms of herpes return again then go for investigation
