Finger like projection on tongue
I couldn't brush my teeth and clean my tongue for 4 days because of my third molars extraction of upper and lower jaw. Now I feel some growth or finger like projections on my tongue at the back of it. It feels like a hair strand is stuck in my throat. How do I get rid of it, it's irritating me a lot. Please help

Dear practo user There should be a follow up visit with your dentist after a week. You can discuss everything at that time.
Next Steps

You can do warm salt water gargling. And also visit dentist for thorough examination. Can be due to minor soft tissue injury during extraction. Warm salt water gargle repeatedly as many times as possible. Avoid spicy, hard or hot food. Betadine mouth wash once a day l, for 7 days followed by once in every two days. After meal. Hold 5-10 drop or maximum 2.5 ml medicine in mouth for 2-4 mins and spit out. Do not eat drink or rinse for next 15 mins. Brush teeth after that. Apply, dologel CT/metrogyl DG gel, 4 times/day, keep applied on affected gum regions for next 3 mins, not to swallow the saliva (spit it out) and rinse thoroughly.do not eat anything for next 20 minutes. C. Becosule forte,  once a day for a month, after food.

You need to get assessed by a dentist so as to review the extraction site and associated area. Since you have got your upper and lower wisdom tooth extracted such experiences could be due to reduced mouth opening or due to soft tissue trauma in that area.
