Fever, heavy cold, cough and running nos
My 16 month old iugr baby (birth weight 1 kg and current weight 7.1kg) has intermittent high fever , heavy cold with running nose, and cough. The phlegm seems to have struck in his throat and he finds it difficult to get rid of it. Has been prescribed the below medicines 1. Levocetirizine - 0.3 ml (1-0-1) 2. Ascoril ls drops - 0.7 ml (1-1-1) 3. paracetamol-100 drops - 1.1ml (1-1-1-1) 4. Meftal - 3ml (1-1-1) incase of high fever. Can I give meftal an hour after giving paracetamol incase of high fever? In general what should be the time gap between each of these medicines? Can I give them one after the other?

U can give MEFTAL on SOS basis if fever is not getting controlled with PCM And depending on Chest findings, then only decision can be taken regarding nebulisation if cough persists. Rest you can give medications keeping gap of 10-15 mins. Give LEVOCET only during night time. REST DO COLD SPONGING.
