Child 2.5 years fever, cold and cough,
I am worried now for my son.age 2.5 years. weight 10 kg. 2 days in fever. Last week had cold. Doctor gave Azeewok and maxtra. No much improved. Two days ago consulted doctor at Sitaram Bharatiya Delhi. He gave meftal p and an zocef. Fever still coming after 8 to 10 hours gap. Mild running nose. Please suggest should I go for tests?

Hello..I understand your worries..As far as the clinical details available, your child may be suffering from upper respiratory tract infection or viral fever....Which is very common among children...Your doctor has already prescribed medications which has antibiotics too..viral fevers don't respond to antibiotics, and they generally persist for 4 to 5 days...If your child's fever persists for more than 4 days inspite of antibiotics, I would suggest you to go for basic blood investigations and to rule out any other fever...Untill then continue the medications...Hope ur child recovers soon and this post would have cleared ur doubts.....
